Caravan Park Site Running Costs

Owning a holiday caravan at Pentre Mawr is a wonderful way to enjoy North Wales – but as with any investment, there are ongoing costs. Below is a clear breakdown of what to expect each year, and how those costs work.

There are no hidden fees – what’s listed here covers the main annual charges associated with caravan ownership at Pentre Mawr. If any of these costs change, owners are informed well in advance.

Because we invest in park maintenance, servicing and infrastructure, you receive value in return: cleanliness, safety and peace of mind.

Site fees

The main running cost is for plot/pitch rent, billed annually during October and paid by 15th December. This covers your caravan sited on the chosen pitch and ensures the quality is kept at the highest levels. For the 2026 season, our rent is £4,195 inc VAT

Rates

The second charge is for what we call rates for ease. This is made up of several different charges, such as local authority fees and garbage removal. The rates are billed annually in April for payment by 1st June. For July 2025 to June 2026, our rates are £754.52.

Gas and Electricity

At Pentre Mawr, we have mains gas and electricity. Both of these services are metered individually, so our owners simply pay for what they use. Gas and electricity for all caravans is billed twice, once in July and once in December.

Insurance

Our owners are free to compare the market with regards to insurance for their holiday caravan, although we do have a recommended provider. Similarly to your house, most people like to cover for structure and contents.
